Humble beginnings…
The dome assembled, sanded and ready for the first pass of filler putty and primer.
Test fitting the main legs to get the angle right.
Test fitting the front skin on the body.
First assembly of all the parts. Exciting to see him all together finally!
Final sanding and prep for paint.
Ooooo.. Shiny!
Painting the accent colors.
R2-Q5 was completed in time for the Star Wars: The Last Jedi premier. He made some new friends as well!
